Parent Feedback

“To the entire Avenue House School team, thank you for the exceptional care you provide. From our daughter’s very first day in Reception, we were struck by the school’s warmth and the staff’s honest communication.

The teachers’ level of engagement and the intuitive approach to learning have allowed our daughter not only to love going to school each day but also to thrive academically and become confident in all areas of her schooling.

As parents, we feel supported knowing that our daughter is also supported when we send her to school each day. What you offer is value-driven, kind, and creates an incredible space to help our daughter grow in the world with confidence and character’.
We couldn’t recommend Avenue House more.

Since joining Avenue House School, our daughter’s transformation has been truly remarkable. She began her journey as a shy, quiet child, but thanks to the nurturing and supportive environment provided by the staff, she has blossomed into a confident seven-year-old. It has been a joy to watch her find her voice and develop a genuine, deep-seated love for school. We are incredibly grateful for the way the school has fostered her independence and made her feel valued, turning every school day into an experience she genuinely looks forward to.

Choosing Avenue House School in Ealing has been a fantastic decision for our family. The nurturing environment and small class sizes mean every child is truly known and supported, and we’ve seen strong progress in our child’s learning.

The school does an excellent job of encouraging creativity and intellectual curiosity, helping children grow in confidence and enjoyment of learning. Our child is very happy, with strong friendships across year groups — it really feels like a community where everyone knows each other.

We are extremely happy with our choice.

We are extremely proud to be part of the Avenue House School family; it is an extremely welcoming and supportive school that cares deeply about the personal journey of every child. From the moment you join AHS, an incredible team work collaboratively: with each other, with parents and with children to ensure a personalised, enriching and holistic experience that ensures that children reach their full potential and more.

Staff consistently and constantly go above and beyond which results in strong teaching and incredible outcomes. Our daughter is excited to go into school and is inspired by her teacher to learn and develop her knowledge every single day. She often comes home and tells us thrilling tales of her day which often starts with a mystery item placed on her teacher’s desk. She and her classmates are then transported to a world of discovery, stimulating teaching and first-class learning.

As we get ready to move on to the next stage of our daughter’s journey, we want to thank the team at AHS for everything that they have done for us as a family. The parent workshops have also been so helpful and motivating and are highly recommended. We will proudly join the alumni family and will always shine a light supporting the brilliance of Avenue House School.

We had previously been overseas and were looking for a small school suitable for our son. Gabriel started at AH in Yr1, September 2020.

Gabriel was born with a bi lateral cleft lip & palette which, even after numerous surgeries, means that, in addition to ongoing speech therapy, and him being under the care of multi specialist teams of doctors, that he still required assistance with speech. He was also diagnosed with dyslexia.

We could not have wished for a better school for Gabriel. He leaves in September 2026 after 6 years in the school. Each of his teachers throughout his years at AH have been generous, committed and have each given Gabriel a confidence and self belief that has helped him recently by receiving offers from 4 out of 5 secondary school places he applied for.

From our initial visit, it was clear that Avenue House School was the right fit for our family. It is a nurturing, close-knit environment that feels very much like a small family itself.

Both our children have developed wonderful friendships and are thriving across all areas of school life. Furthermore, we have found the parental circle to be welcoming and down-to-earth. The school’s academic standards are excellent; onward results are consistently outstanding, with pupils securing places at some of the most prestigious senior schools.

The fact that both children arrive each morning with enthusiasm and return home happy is, for us, the ultimate testament to the school’s success. We could not be more pleased with our experience.

Avenue House School; the name feels meaningful. For our son, it was never simply a school, but a house along the avenue of his childhood; his second home. A place where he grew, learned, laughed, gained confidence and felt understood; where children are seen not just as pupils, but as individuals. Each encouraged to shine; where teachers are not only teachers, but part of his family, giving kindness, care, passion and part of their hearts.

And then there is the Head, Ms Nandra, she is so often surrounded by children and parents, listening, encouraging, smiling and making everyone feel seen. Not easily recognised as the Headteacher as she is often quietly outside after a windy night, cleaning leaves before the children arrive- no job too small.
And Mr Sheppard, who guided our son through the storm of Year 6 and the 11+ journey. He didn’t simply educate him: he believed in him, guided him and helped shape the person he is becoming. Years ago, he was also the teacher who opened the door when I first arrived, carrying fears, insecurities and limited English, and whose words still resonate: “This is what the school is for.”

As our son moves into secondary school, he carries values, memories, confidence and an emotional foundation built here. That will stay with him forever. With hearts full of gratitude, we return every congratulation we received — right back to the extraordinary people of Avenue House School”.

Warmest wishes,
